I wrote me a country rock song for the next election.
I sing, play keys, write and record songs, and perform in a local choir that does African-American gospel. I am digging deeper into music after a professional career focused on energy and environmental issues.
I hear new music when I'm dreaming, walking, or gardening, and I want to make the music real. I’m inspired to write tunes that are upbeat and hopeful even when facing pain, instead of the despair and darkness currently in the air. This positive spirit imbues the album Sudden Light and the single My Neck Is Red but I Vote Blue.
My songs combine pop, R&B, classic rock, and New Wave influences. I also write piano instrumentals and the occasional country song. I’ve recorded and released songs under my own name as well as my former artist name, Quord (pronounced kord).
